Around the Table Workshop

A primeira semana de Maio foi inesquecível. É certo que já lá vai mais de um mês, mas não me canso de olhar para estas fotografias e desejar voltar! Quando vi no Instagram da Marta e da Sanda a o anúncio do workshop, pensei: “Tenho que ir!!! Ainda por cima é na semana do meu aniversário!!!”. E assim foi! Tive a oportunidade de conhecer 9 mulheres incríveis (para além das 3 por trás da organização, bem como o Filipe), aprender imensas técnicas de fotografia e edição, comer pratos deliciosos e estar num local lindo! Confesso que a história de cada uma delas me tocou particularmente, pois nenhuma começou a sua vida nesta área, mas por diversos motivos são agora felizes e bem sucedidas por trás da câmara! Espreitem o trabalho de cada uma delas, vale bem a pena: Sini, Jonna, Anna, Marina, Lisa, Simone, Pilar, Giulia e a minha colega de quarto (que fez anos no dia antes de mim, eh eh!) Mina.

E porque uma imagem vale mais que mil palavras, aqui fica um cheirinho desta semana incrível!

The first week of May was unforgettable. It has already passed more than a month, but I do not get tired of looking at these photos and wishing to return! When I saw on the Instagram of Marta and Sanda the announcement of the workshop, I thought, “I have to go!!! Besides, it is on the week of my birthday!!!”. And so it was! I had the opportunity to meet 9 amazing women (in addition to the 3 behind the organization, as well as Filipe), learn a lot about photography techniques and editing, eat delicious dishes and to be in such a beautiful place! I confess that the story of each one of the girls touched me particularly, because no one began her life in this area, but for various reasons they are now happy and successful behind the camera! Take a look at the work of each one of them, it will worth it: Sini, Jonna, Anna, Marina, Lisa, Simone, Pilar, Giulia and my roomy (which birthday is the day before mine, eh eh!) Mina.

A Erica vai dar o Nó!/ Erica’s Bachelorette

Quando a Sofia me liga em horário laboral, é porque é deveras importante. Mas nunca pensei que fosse para me propôr a organização de uma despedida de solteira!! Senti-me feliz, muito feliz, mas nervosa, hiper nervosa! Que responsabilidade! Ao mesmo tempo abracei de imediato o desafio. “Fala com a Filipa, ela é que está a organizar o dia todo, eu só me lembrei de ti para organizares a parte do almoço”. Encontrei-me com a Filipa um par de dias mais tarde; em 4 frases tinha todas as recomendações: 1) a noiva [ok, é de facto uma grande ajuda conhecê-la] gosta de cor-de-rosa (YES!); 2) a noiva não gosta de cogumelos, mas adora queijo de cabra; 3) há uma grávida; 4) há uma vegetariana. Dormi sobre o assunto e, voilá – 45min, 1 folha e 1 caneta – nasceu o esboço deste dia mágico!

When Sofia calls me during working hours, it means it is extremely important. But I never thought she would proposed me to organize a bachelorette party!! I was happy, very happy, but nervous, hyper nervous! What a responsibility! At the same time, I immediately embraced the challenge. “Have a talk with Filipa, she is planning all day, I just remembered you to do the lunch.” I was with Filipa a couple of days later; in 4 sentences I had all the recommendations: 1) the bride [ok, it is indeed a great help to know her] likes pink (YES!); 2) the bride does not like mushrooms, but she loves goat cheese; 3) there is a pregnant one; 4) there is a vegetarian. I slept on it and voilà – 45min, 1 sheet and 1 pen – the draft of this magical day was born!
